Awua, Latifa win Norlympics

Fourteen-year-old Awua Boateng from the Kumasi Social Taekwondo Club last Saturday at the D.G.Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium in Accra emerged as the overall champion of the fifth Norlympics Taekwondo Championship.

Emporium hosts first amateur boxing tourney

The newly constructed sports emporium in Accra last Saturday held its first ever amateur boxing competition under the auspices of ETC Polska Promotions in collaboration with the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association.

Accra Hearts of Oak yesterday beat their arch rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, at their own Kumasi turf (the Baba Yara Stadium) to book a place in the final of the GALCA G6 tournament. Hearts won 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate in 90 minutes.
