Handing over the pickup to the OGA, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ANKAA Tropical Oranges, Malcolm Senanu, stated that the company's gesture is to support the orange farmers in accessing hard-to-reach farms across the country.

This support is crucial for the timely supply of oranges to the factory for processing. Mr. Senanu implored the association to maintain a high sense of care and maintenance for the vehicle.

Receiving the pickup on behalf of the OGA, the president of the association, Nana Yaw Baffour Frimpong, thanked ANKAA Tropical Oranges for the timely donation. He further urged other stakeholders to support the OGA in becoming formidable contributors to the economic advancement of Ghana.

The brief ceremony, which took place in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, coincided with the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought on Monday, June 17, 2024.

It is noteworthy that the OGA, which owns the largest orange orchard in West Africa, Eastfield Farms, is contributing significantly to combating desertification and drought through its support for the Government of Ghana's Green Ghana Day initiative.

The association, with its partner, Eastfield Foundation, is the brain behind the Grow to Consume initiative in basic schools, which aims to sustain its initial initiative, One Student, One Orange (Orange Wednesday).
