Cocoa, Coffee, and Sheanut farmers congratulate President-elect John Mahama
The National Executive Committee of the Ghana Cocoa, Coffee, and Sheanut Farmers Association (COCOSHE) has extended warm congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his historic election as the leader of the Republic of Ghana.
In a statement signed by the association’s President, Alhaji Alhassan Bukari, COCOSHE described the election as unprecedented in Ghana's voting history since independence in 1957.
The association acknowledged the significance of President-elect Mahama’s victory and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the nation effectively.
The statement highlighted the pressing challenges facing Ghana's Cocoa, Coffee, and Sheanut sectors, which have suffered a marked decline in recent years. COCOSHE pledged its unwavering support to the President-elect in addressing these challenges and revitalizing the sectors.
“We wish to assure you of our unflinching support to help bring back the Cocoa, Coffee, and Sheanut sector to its feet, so as to restore the economy of Ghana to its healthy state,” the statement read.
COCOSHE underscored the importance of the recovery of these vital agricultural sectors to Ghana's economic progress and called on all stakeholders to unite and work with the incoming administration to achieve this shared goal.
As preparations for the inauguration of President-elect Mahama continue, the association extended its best wishes for a successful tenure and expressed hope for a brighter future under his leadership.
The statement concluded with a call for unity and national progress, proclaiming, “Long live COCOSHE, long live Ghana.”
