Airtel names judges and finalists for Airtel Trace Star Music competition
Five talented amateur singers have been named as finalists in the ongoing Airtel Trace Star Music Competition.
The finalists who were selected from thousands of entries made via phone calls include Francis Tengey (DON), Cassandra Tettey (CAS), Linda Goraseh (LIN), Princess Dartey (PBD), and Angela Ackim (DZU).
The singers will compete for a top prize of GHC 50,000 on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Edem and Raquel, both well-known and accomplished musicians, as well as Kafui Dey, ace television and radio personality will serve as the judges on that day.
The competition will culminate with the final announcement of the overall winner for Ghana. The Ghanaian finalist will compete with the best singing talents of 11 other African countries for the run for the Title of best African Music Talent.
The overall grand prize comprises of a recording deal with Kon Live, a distributed label through Universal Music Group, and an intense mentorship programme with Akon in the United States of America.
