A good year it was for Piano Bar

It was a moment of   grand jubilation last December 24, 2014 in the Piano Bar at the Greda Estates Roundabout, Teshie-Nungua Estates in Accra, as singers, Sandra Huson and  Elivava, the Krikedeke band and other performers put on a show to mark the live music venue’s first anniversary.

During its first year, the Piano Bar made a reasonable impact on lovers of  good live band music.

Artistes and groups that have performed there include Bessa Simons, Paapa Yankson, Pat Thomas, La Femme band, Gyedu Blay-Ambolley, Daasebre Gyamenah, Ofie Kodjoe,  Hewale Sounds, Villy and the Extreme Volumes and Nana Fynn.

“We set out to add some class to the live music scene in the nation’s capital through provision of a convenient ambience,” says Solomon Okine, proprietor of the Piano Bar.

“Truly, our expectations have been exceeded and clients are now urging us to expand the current venue and also establish similar bars in other parts of Accra.”

One of the recent attractions at the Piano Bar is the ‘Who Sings Better?’ hour where willing clients are backed by a guitarist and pianist to sing songs of their choice.
