Gyakie named member of YouTube Black Voices Class
Another victory for Ghana as Afro-fusion musician Gyakie has been named a part of the YouTube Black Voices Fund Music Class 2023, joining countries like Jamaica, the United States, Nigeria, Australia, and Brazil among others.
The programme aims to provide Black innovators, artistes, composers, and producers with direct financial assistance to support their YouTube content and have a platform to share their opinions and experiences.
Along with Gyakie, other African artistes who made the list are Asake and BNXN from Nigeria and Kamo Mphela and Mashbeatz from South Africa.

The list which was released yesterday, November 15 also had A. B. Origin, Babyface Ray, Black Pantera, Armani White among other international acts.
Huge amounts of congratulations are coming in for Gyakie, who is clearly overjoyed and unable to contain her excitement as she announces the accomplishment with the words "OOOH THIS IS CRAZY" on her Twitter page.
The programme, since its inception two years ago, has supported artistes including Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Versace, E! People's Choice Award Nominee The Odditty and Webby Award winning group the Critics Company.
