Is Tamale ready to jam?

The Northern Regional capital,Tamale, has its own distinctive swag when it comes to showbiz events but the  Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Nominees Jam which is slated to come off at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Saturday is perhaps the first-ever, biggest, free, open-air concert to hit the city.

For artistes like Kwabena Kwabena, Castro, Sarkodie and Samini who have been there before, the concert  may be an opportune visit to their thousands of fans.

For Joyce Blessing, it may be an extension of her “Holy Ghost” campaign, and for other artistes such as Stonebwoy, Edem and Bisa K Dei, this may be a good barometer to gauge how far their music have gone.

But Tamale has its own prided acts and for the talented Deensi, this is definitely the jam they have been waiting for and they are more than ready to show the visitors how it is done in Tamale.

So when the lights hit the seven-foot high stage at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Saturday; when the sound is turned up and the stars light up the night sky, all will be set with only one question, “Is Tamale ready to jam?”

The 15th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is sponsored by Vodafone and supported by Star Beer, Golden Tulip Hotel, Alisa Hotel, KPMG and GhOne TV.
