MUSIGA honours Doscar on Dec 29
The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) will on December 29, 2017 hold its annual Presidential Grand Ball to honour individuals and organisations who have during the years played a pivotal role in the development of the music industry.
This year’s event, which will take place at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra, will attract distinguished Ghanaians including President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who is the Special Guest of Honour.

Mr Oscar Yao Doe, the Chairman of DOSCAR Holdings Group, will receive MUSIGA’s Music Pillar honours, the highest award to be bestowed on the night.
The Music Pillar award is given to individuals and organisations who have been of great support and have played pivotal roles in the development of the music industry and MUSIGA.
Mr Doe who is also who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Eurostar Limousines Limited is being honoured for his contributions to music, fashion, event red carpets and support for MUSIGA over the years.
Past winners of the award include Dr Kwabena Duffour, Osei Kwame Despite, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Apostle Kwadwo Safo and Edward Boateng.
This year’s Grand Ball is the fifth edition and promises to be a spectacular night of authentic music, dancing, dinner, awards and the popular auction of musical instruments and other paraphernalia of veteran musicians.

Proceeds from the auction are channelled into the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWEF).
