Nana Yaa adds to Sunyani radio

One radio personality whose arrival on the airwaves in the Brong Ahafo Regional capital has brought freshness and competition onto the radio scene in the region is Nana Yaa Boamponsem Ameyaw, formerly of Adom FM and now with Ark FM in Sunyani.

The affable, pretty and cute but vociferous radio presenter, now the Programmes Director of Ark FM told Graphic Showbiz in Sunyani  that she  decided to move on to make a difference in the radio business in her home region, Brong Ahafo .

Nana Yaa Boamponsem has now added onto her name Ameyaw  as she is married to Mr. Oppong Ameyaw of Dormaa Ahenkro where they both are natives.

Nana Yaa  Boamponsem said she resigned from Adom FM as a senior broadcast journalist .“Although it was Adom FM that made me what I am today I felt I have to move on and accept new challenges and I have found solace and peace at Ark FM”.

Besides being the Programmes Director of Ark FM, Nana Yaa Boamponsem Ameyaw is also the host of Ahuofe Fie literally translated as ‘House of Beauty’ on Ark FM every Saturday which discusses beauty, fashion and lifestyle.

She said one of her innovations has been the introduction of a local panel discussion on the morning show programme which is helping to bring up pertinent issues confronting the people in the region and according to her, the feedback has been great.
