Please no ‘dumsor’ during my sing-a-thon -Afua Asantewaa pleads with ECG (Video)
Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, the Ghanaian lady set to challenge the Guinness World Record longest singing marathon is making a passionate appeal to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) not to give light out during the period.
She explained that even though her team has made adequate preparations including securing a stand by generator, she will very appreciate it if ECG held power for her.

“I am between two giants so I’m not scared of what I’m about to say. Preparations are advanced and we are making standby generators available. I’m even told there’s something called UPS to enable smooth change in case the light go out but ECG, please, during this time, please spare me.
“Let’s pile it up to at least second week of January. So I’m pleading, ECG from 23rd to the end of December, because we don’t know when we are stopping this because we can just get carried away, please hold the power for us,” she said during a press conference at Akwaaba Village yesterday.
The press conference afforded Asantewaa the opportunity to brief the media and the larger Ghanaian community on preparation for her Guinness Record breaking contest to hold from Sunday, December 24 to Wednesday, December 27 at Akwaaba Village, near Hajj Village.
