GHANAIAN musician Ras Kuuku is paying tribute to Burger Highlife with his latest single Atia.
Burger Highlife is a music genre that originated and made popular by Ghanaians living in Germany, particularly Hamburg in the 1990s. It combines Highlife with funk, disco and synth-pop.

Atia, produced by Bozy Beatz, is a tale of love that demonstrates Ras Kuuku's vocals.
On Atia, Ras Kuuku blends his voice blends well with the Highlife beat, creating a catchy and upbeat song.
According to the Wo singer, his decision to release Atia is a deliberate attempt to revive interest in the "Burger Highlife" genre, which he believes is in danger of becoming extinct.
“We dont often hear Burger Highlife" which was led by iconic musicians such as George Darko, and most of our Highlife acts are also not looking in that direction.
“I felt the industry needed to do something to revive interest in that genre and it had to start with someone. Atia is here to do just that. I am introducing Highlife genre to a new generation of music lovers," he told Graphic Showbiz in an interview.
Released earlier this month, Atia is now gaining momentum and popularity on digital streaming platforms.
