The I Believe artiste also faces home “rivalry” from UK based Ghanaian artiste, Sonnie Badu.
However, inspite of the fierce competition, SP Sarpong is hopeful of grabbing the award to Ghana.
“This nomination means a lot to me and the whole gospel music fraternity because this is the first time a gospel artiste based in Ghana has been nominated.
I’m really excited about it but my joy will be complete if I come back home with the award.
And I can only achieve that with the support of Ghanaians and my colleagues in the industry,” he told Showbiz in an interview yesterday, July 27.
