VIDEO: Comedian drilled by host over persistent trolling of GTV on social media
Comedian OB Amponsah was on Ghana Television today to promote his upcoming show Ghanaian by Card.
During the interesting entertainment segment of the GTV Breakfast Show, the comedian spoke about his journey as an entertainer as well as his private life and career.
However, the interview took an unexpected turn when the host of the entertainment segment of the GTV Breakfast Show, Valerie Danso asked him about posts he had made about the state-owned broadcaster.
Specifically, Ms Danso asked OB Amponsah to explain the Facebook posts he made on November 22, 2022, on GTV's broadcast of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
She also quizzed him about if he had paid his TV licence and why he was on a station that he had criticised in the past.
The comic explained that his criticism was because he was an avid viewer and GTV and expected better.
OB Amponsah further disclosed that he was a massive fan of the new GTV and he had a different view of the station now.
He said he expected to watch all the FIFA World Cup Matches, especially after GTV had advertised that it will telecast all 64 matches before the tournament.
Ms Danso also schooled OB Amponsah about the need to pay the TV licence and advocate to his followers to pay the levy to enable the state broadcaster to acquire premium content.
