When MTN Culturefest went to Hogbetsotso
This year’s Hogbetsotso celebration of the Anlo people in the Volta Region ended last weekend with key events at Keta and Anloga.
Communication company, MTN was in the thick of affairs as usual with its Culturefest plan that entailed a health walk, data activation and a Chill Zone that oozed with fun throughout the festival period.
Though the five-kilometre health walk from Jubilee Radio in Vui to Emancipation Beach at Keta was primarily to help citizens keep fit, the accompanying brass band stole the show with its many melodious renditions that made everyone feel that walking on and on.
Even at the end of the walk when people relaxed with fruits and water and had their blood pressure checked, there was a deejay at hand to help everyone unwind well.
The data activation segment brought smiles to faces but moods were lifted even higher with activities at the MTN Chill Zone.
Sound Masters Entertainment from Tema which has a lot of experience with the provision of pubic address and lighting systems for first-rate events, provided solid technical support for live performers such as MTN Hitmaker II winner, Koo Ntakara; JJ Gonami, Agbeshie and other artistes on Friday, October 31.
The bash included Alkayida dancing and rap competition and the winners were presented with MTN branded giveaways.
There was a massive audience on Saturday, November 1 as Stay Jay, Cano-Z, Shin and other artistes took to the stage to perform.
Cano-Z, an indigene and the first runner- up at the MTN Hit-Maker II contest, was in perfect form and the big crowd loved what he did.
