The teachers used the various foodstuffs such as cassava, plantain, cocoyam and vegetables the children had learned about in class to cook various dishes with the children participating in the preparation of the food by washing the vegetables and foodstuffs and also observing the process.

They slaughtered a chicken, dressed it and used it for soup and pounded fufu to go with it . They also cooked jollof rice, boiled yam and plantain and chopped vegetables which was served with the dishes.
