Talk to I don’t want to repeat class

Dear Auntie Betty, I am a 16-year-old girl in one of the private schools in the Wa Municipality. I lose concentration because of disturbance by boys in my class.

Sometimes when there is a teacher in class, they distract me when I try paying attention to what is being taught.

This could affect my studies and I may not even pass well in my examination. I could be repeated.

I do not want to repeat my class because it will bring shame to me, my family and my teachers. What should I do?

Dear Pat, First you have to report to the class prefect to talk to the boys in the class. If that fails to yield any result, you have to talk to one of your teachers to put them to order.

You did not say what exactly they do to distract you. Would changing your sitting position in the class help? Sometimes when you sit in the front row, it is possible to avoid distractions because your mates will not misbehave right in front of a teacher.
