Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast made it a reality to retain the coveted National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) trophy when it pipped St Augustine's College by a difference of 14 points to win the 2025 competition.
The two Cape Coast-based schools, Mfantsipim and St Augustine's College, continued to lead in the grand finale right from round one, with the Kumasi-Santasi-based Opoku Ware School trailing all the way throughout.

It was the second consecutive time St Augustine's was bowing in the grand finale to Mfantsipim.
In 2024, Mfantsipim School won with a difference of one point, ending the contest with 47 points, as against St. Augustine's 46 points, and that of Keta Senior High Technical School's 32pts.

Round 3, which was the problem of the day, ended with Mfantsipim in the lead with 30 points, followed by Augusco's 29 points and OWASS's 19 points
Round 2
At the end of the speed race in round 2, Augusco was leading with 27 points, as against Mfantsipim's 24 points and that of OWASS's 17 points.
Round 1
Round 1 ended with OWASS and Augusco both at 17 points, with Mfantsipim at 20 points.
