National Security personnel in the Ashanti Region have clamped down on 15 individuals who were allegedly involved in sandwinning activities at the Sewua section of the Accra-Kumasi Expressway project.
Six tipper trucks, a wheel loader and other machines have been impounded by National Security operatives.
The individuals were picked up at the Sewua–Donyina–Appiadu enclave during a swoop.
A video shared on social media indicated that the individuals had been illegally excavating sand from the area.
