2 injured after crash on Kpone - Tema road (PHOTOS)

Two people sustained severe injuries in an accident that involved a salon car and a haulage truck on the VALCO - Kpone road near the Chase Petroluem Tanker Yard in Tema on Monday.

The Toyota Corolla salon car with registration number GW 2959-15 was traveling from Kpone towards Tema when it run into the truck, with Registration Number GN 2391-13 from the opposite direction.

According to an eyewitness, the salon car tried to overtake four other vehicles on the stretch but in the process came face to face with the truck. The truck driver was said to have tried to avoid the collision but the saloon car rammed into the side of the truck.

The injured persons who were in the saloon car were rushed to the Tema General Hospital. Police Personnel from Kpone and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service Industrial Area branch were called in to rescue the injured.
