Three arrested after raid on West Hills Mall
Two armed men Sunday attacked workers and patrons of the West Hills Mall at Weija near Accra at about 2.00 pm leaving some visitors who witnessed the act gripped with fear.

The suspected robbers – identified as Jerry Sulley, 24, unemployed, and Stephen Ayoma, 20 – were, however, arrested by the Weija Police.
Reports also say the robbers allegedly shot two persons at the projecting room of the Silver Bird Cinema, located within the mall.
The victims were taken to the GASMA Hospital, at Weija for treatment.
Initial reports indicated that six armed robbers had attacked the mall following which two were arrested while four escaped.
The police confirmed that there were only two suspects involved in the attempted robbery operation.
Visit to the scene
When the Daily Graphic visited the scene, some eyewitnesses claimed the police were called after the gunmen shot the victims.
A broken glass door had a mark that looked like it had been hit by a bullet but it could not be ascertained if it was as a result of the attack.

“It was difficult to identify the gunmen as they managed to disappear in the midst of the patrons in the mall,” said one eyewitness.
Later, the eyewitness said, the police combed the mall including the engine room where the gunmen were arrested.
The Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Affia Tenge, who confirmed the incident to the Daily Graphic, indicated that the two suspects were arrested in the rooftop of the engine room of the mall.
A search on the two suspects led to the retrieval of a pistol, a pair of scissors and nine rounds of live ammunition.
Fake military man
A man in military uniform who introduced himself as a milliary officer to the police and assisted in the search for the suspects was also arrested.
The man, whose uniform showed he was a corporal with the name tag Nyarko, was later found to be a fake military officer.
The police gave his name as Prince Nyarko, 28, a teacher.
