The exhibition which opens at 10.00am, is being mounted by a group of artists that calls itself the Beyond Collective and they are riding on the success of their debut exhibition in 2014  to stage this new one titled ‘Akwaabytes.’

The artists involved are Nana Anoff, Nada Moukarzel,  Panji Anoff, Jean-Marc Nahas, Nii Obodai, Rania Odaymat and Kwadjo Rasta.

They are all inspired by the huge volume of activity in the digital realm, especially the sound-bites and snappy chatter of social media.

They, however, feel the inspiration in different ways and have tried to present their perspectives in approaches they believe would click well with art lovers.

For those who care about photography, the highly- experienced Nii Obodai’s work would be of extreme interest.

Born in Accra, Nii Obodai has lived in England, Nigeria and Ghana. He enjoys facilitating inspirational workshops on photography and travels a lot to explore and record the vibrant essence of life.

His photographs have a rare intensity and have been exhibited in Ghana, Britain, France, Holland and Mali.

His images are remarkable for being personal without appearing to affect the subject, and are usually shot on film, a rarity in a digital era. His input to ‘Akwaabytes’ is titled Extracts from a Love Letter.
