The assembly has also furnished the classrooms with dual desks.

The new building, which was financed with the assembly’s share of the common fund, has given relief to the pupils who hitherto were studying under trees at the mercy of the weather.

Inaugurating the block at a ceremony at Subriso last Wednesday, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Madam Faustina Korantemaa Addo, advised teachers and pupils of the school to take proper care of the facility in order to lengthen its lifespan.

Proper maintenance

She also urged the chiefs and people of the community not only to maintain the building regularly, but to also prevent non-schoolchildren from using the facility for their selfish interest.

Madam Addo admonished teachers and pupils of the school to maximise their output to justify the huge investment in the classroom block.

She enjoined parents to ensure that all their school-age children were enrolled in school, since education was the key to development.

The DCE donated three laptops to the school to facilitate the teaching and learning of information and communications technology (ICT).

THE District Director of Education, Mr Godwin Addo, praised the assembly for its commitment to the development of education in the area and assured it of his outfit’s support to provide quality education in the district.

The Mmrantehene of Subriso, Mr Ernest Appiah, who is also the treasurer of the school’s parent-teacher association, appealed for more teachers as well as sanitation facilities for the school.
