Clifford Mettle not part of uniBank case
The Commercial Division of the Accra High Court has struck out Mr Clifford Duke Mettle as a defendant in a suit filed by the receiver of the defunct uniBank against the shareholders and directors of the erstwhile bank.
Mr Mettle’s name was struck out as a defendant on September 28, 2018.
He is, therefore, not part of people who have been sued by the Receiver of uniBank, Nii Amanor Dodoo, for allegedly playing various roles leading to the collapse of the bank.

The court, presided over by Justice Jennifer Abena Dadzie, held that Mr Mettle was not a necessary party to the suit and, accordingly, struck out his name.
“It is hereby ordered that the name of the 13th defendant (Mr Mettle) be and is hereby struck out of this suit as he is not a necessary party to the suit,” the presiding judge ordered.
Background
Mr Mettle is a distinguished marketing and brands expert, banker and administrator who has won many awards.
He has over 30 years’ experience in banking and marketing.
He was adjudged the 2016 Marketing Practitioner of the Year at the 28th National Marketing Awards held at the State House in September 2017.
Mr Mettle has also served in various capacities including as the President and Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana.
