Collapsing wall kills mother and child

Two people were killed at Essienimpong in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality when part of a building collapsed on them.

A woman, Selkina Sulemana, 48, and her son Eric Adjei, five years, were said to be walking past the building when part of the eight-bedroom mud house collapsed on them.

Her other two children identified as Wasila, three, and Sala, seven, who sustained injuries are on admission at the Church of God Clinic.

None of the tenants of the mud house was injured.

Briefing the Daily Graphic, Mr Aeron Prince Duah, a former assembly member of the area, who was an eyewitness, said the building collapsed around 4pm last Thursday.

According to Mr Duah, he and others who were at the scene of the incident carried both the dead and the injured to the hospital.
