The Controller and Accountant-General's Department has rescheduled two categories of allowances to be paid in November 2025 due to a technical hitch.
It has, however, assured all affected workers that the issue was being resolved for the outstanding allowances to be paid together with the December 2025 salaries on December 18, 2025.
It explained that the allowances were to be paid in November 2025, but had to be postponed to December as a result of a "Technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run."
A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations of the CAGD, Cephas N. Dosoo, explained "the Controller and Accountant-General's Department wishes to inform all stakeholders, particularly our colleagues in the education sector, that two categories of allowances scheduled for November 2025, could not be processed due to a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run."
It said to avoid any further delays in the payment of November 2025 salaries for all government of Ghana workers, the processing of these allowances was paused.
