Council of churches supports Ahmadiyya hospital
The Agona Swedru branch of the Local Council of Churches has presented 10 mattresses valued at GH¢1,200 to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Hospita at Agona Swedru.
The donation was to enable the hospital authorities to properly accommodate patients who visit the facility.
Presentation
Making the presentation, Reverend Stephen Okyere Nkum, the Chairman of the council, said as Christians, they were obliged to be socially responsible by supporting institutions in society.
He said the presentation was their widow’s mite to the hospital for it to provide the best of care to patients.
Rev. Okyere Nkum, who is also the Head Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Agona Swedru, stressed that the council would continue to support health facilities in the area to help improve healthcare delivery.
Gratitude
The acting Administrator of the hospital, Mr Musah Donkor, who received the items, expressed his appreciation to the council for the donation.
He gave an assurance that the items would be put to good use and called on other religious organisations to come to the aid of the hospital in its quest to provide quality health care to its clients.
Present at the presentation was Mr John A. d'Ameilda, Vice-President of the council, and members of staff of the hospital.
