Presenting the items to the Polyclinic at a ceremony on Saturday (August 15, 2020), the President of the Accra Ebony Lions Club, Lion Alex Owusu-Annoh said the club was dedicated to helping those in need.
The Administrator of the Madina Polyclinic Kekele, Mr Peter Gagah said he was delighted with the donation because the hospital spends a lot of funds on acquiring such items.
He said such funds can now be re-directed to purchase other important supplies.
"Government gives us some of this Personal Protective Equipment but government alone cannot do all, so we are always grateful to groups like the Lions Club when they come to our aid," Mr Gagah stated.
He also appealed to the Club to assist the Polyclinic to equip its new surgical theatre to reduce the incidents of referrals to other hospitals.
The Marketing and Communications Chairman of the Accra Ebony Lions Club, Lion Oscar Elorm Onai said the Clubs would consider the appeal since it falls in line with its ideals.

He said: "The Lions Club comes up with activities for each month, we lookout for ways we can respond to challenges facing mankind that is why we are at the Madina Polyclinic today. We believe that kindness matters. We would consider the appeal and see how we can raise funds to assist them."
He urged like-minded individuals who want to serve their communities to join any of the many Lions Clubs in the country.
