EC declare Akufo Addo winner with 94.35per cent
The Electoral Commission has officially declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as winner of the presidential primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He secured 117, 413, representing 94.35 per cent as against 1,198 representing 0.91 per cent by Francis Addai Nimoh and 5,908 representing 4.75per cent by Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten.

Nana Addo in his speech at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra on Saturday night where the declaration took place thanked God for his blessings on Ghana, the NPP and himself (Nana Addo).
He expressed appreciation to the party leadership right from the grassroots and the members for the overwhelming show of support.
He said he was humbled by the massive confidence reposed in him and assured that he will do everything humanly possible under the guidance of God to do everything possible to win the election.

“We will all cooperate to advance the NPP. That is what the members of the NPP and mother Ghana expects from us.”
He commended the EC and the police for their services and said the results could not have been achieved without the hardwork of his campaign team.

“We have a sacred duty to rid the country of the incompetent NDC government. We are going to reverse the decline of the nation. We have the men and women who can do it,” he said
