As a result of the attack, the Ashanti Police Command has been compelled to relocate personnel of the station and the place closed down indefinitely.

The perpetrators of the crime have, meanwhile, absconded and are being pursued by the police.

“The command is assuring that everything will be done to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book and is at the same time urging the general public to assist locate and arrest same,” a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Yusif M. Tanko, said.
