Fire outbreak at Radach hotel
Parts of Radach hotel Thursday morning caught fire in Tamale in the Northern Region.
The fire destroyed valuables including tables, air conditioner, and bed in the room number 11, where the fire started.
According to an eyewitness, the fire sparked up in the room at about 7:am today as a result of power fluctuation.

It took the timely intervention of other guests in the hotel to prevent the fire from affecting the entire building.
The Assistant Station Officer at the Northern Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service, Mr. Frank Baah Briefing the media said their preliminary investigation confirms that the fire outbreak was caused as a result of power fluctuation.
"Upon a distress call we dispatched personnel to the scene, but upon reaching here eyewitnesses and guests around had managed to quell the fire preventing it from spreading to other rooms" he said
Mr. Baah appealed to the general public to take effective safety precautions to prevent fire outbreaks.
Meanwhile, Assistant Manager of the Hotel, Frimpongmaa Asare Faustina assured the public particularly guests of putting stringent measures in place to prevent reoccurrence of fire outbreaks and ensuring their safety.
