First Lady Lordina Mahama honoured at World Assemblies of God Congress

The First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, received the prestigious “Kingdom Impact Award” in recognition of her enduring Christian faith, compassionate ministry, and support for the global mission of the Assemblies of God Church.

Mrs. Mahama received the award at the opening ceremony of the 10th Triennial World Assemblies of God Congress, in Accra, where she and President John Dramani Mahama served as Special Guests of Honour.

The three-day congress was the first to be hosted in Africa in the Fellowship’s 115-year history and has drew more than 10,000 delegates from around the world under the theme, “Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation.”

The citation praised the First Lady for leading her husband, President Mahama, to Christ and, subsequently, her entire family; for her role in his service as Vice President and President, which the Church said has advanced the Kingdom of God; and for her compassion ministry, which has brought hope and relief to vulnerable people.

It also recognised her loyalty to Christ and the Assemblies of God denomination while serving as First Lady, as well as her immense support for the organisation of the historic 2026 World Congress in Accra. The award was presented by Reverend Dominic Yeo, Chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.

The organisers explained the honour was to inspire present and future generations through Mrs. Mahama’s love for God and her positive impact on society.
