Former Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Commissioner of Police (COP) Kwasi Mensah Duku (Retd) has died.
He passed on at the Police Hospital in Accra on Tuesday, September 8, where he was on admission after battling an ailment.
A native of Goaso in the Ahafo Region, COP Duku also served as Regional Commander for the Western and Upper West Regions at various times.
His cousin, Kwame Asare Boadu, a retired Deputy News Editor of the Daily Graphic, confirmed the passing of the former police commissioner to Graphic Online.
Mr Asare Boadu told Graphic Online that arrangements for the one-week observation were underway, after which the date for the final funeral rites would be announced.
