GHACEM rewards customers
GHACEM Limited has held its annual Customers’ Appreciation Night in Takoradi to reward its customers and distributors.

This event, which was held at the Atlantic Hotel, brought together the company’s customers from across the country who received various awards for their loyalty.
In addition to certificates, the awardees received various allocations of cement in appreciation of their prime performances in 2014.
The Top Distributor’s award went to Isaac Owusu Ansah Ltd of Kumasi sales outlet for having sold 58,455 tonnes of cement whiles Erduk Company Limited also from Kumasi sales outlet came second for having sold close to 53,560 tonnes of cement. The third position went to Jos-Aja Enterprise, a Takoradi sales outlet which sold 52,480 tonnes of cement.
Monolo Plant Limited was crowned overall best Direct Customer for the year under review 2014.
The Commercial Director of Ghacem, Nana Philip Archer, thanked customers of the company for their commitment to the company despite challenges in 2014 due to the economic crises the country was faced with.
“Ghacem appreciates such loyalty and promises to hold this appreciation event keen on our marketing calendar,” he said.
Nana Archer announced that Ghacem had invested heavily in the production of machinery and training of human resources in order to meet the ever-increasing demand for quality cement.
“In a few weeks an additional 0.8 million tonne capacity Mill 5 in Takoradi will be fully operational which will add up to the current capacity of 1.2 million tonnes making a total of 2.0 million tonnes in Takoradi. In Tema it will be recalled that in November 2012, Ghacem also invested about 25 million Euros in expansion, taking its production capacity to about 2.2 million tonnes. This brings its total capacity to 4.2 million tonnes annually.
In a remark, Mr Andy Biney of Andy Mike Co. Ltd, who is the Vice Chairman of the Takoradi Distributors Association, paid tribute to the board and management of Ghacem for the huge expansion project at its Takoradi factory, expressing the hope that the project when operational would ensure massive and smooth supply of cement to meet the ever-increasing demand for cement.
