The Graphic Communications Group LTD (GCGL) will organise a free health screening exercise for residents of Adabraka on September 19, 2026, as part of its annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
The health screening, scheduled for the Graphic Clinic at Adabraka from 8 a.m. throughout the day, is a long-standing initiative undertaken by GCGL in collaboration with the Adabraka Chief, Nii Adjabeng II, as part of the company’s commitment to improving the well-being of communities in its operational areas.
As part of the exercise, GCGL will also register and renew National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards for 100 people, with priority given to persons aged 70 years and above, children under 16, and persons with disability (PWDs).

The health screening exercise has partnerships with Gokal Healthy Options, which will handle eye screening; Serena Dental Clinic; and Synlab Group Ghana.
It is also with sponsorship from Top-Up Pharmacy, Bendita Pharmacy, Dancing Healthcare, Unicom Chemist, Bel-Aqua, Ernest Chemists, and MC&P.
Among the services to be provided are general medical consultation, eye screening, dental screening, fasting blood sugar tests, malaria testing, hepatitis screening, full blood count, and laboratory investigations.
Patients found with medical conditions would be treated, while those requiring further care would be referred to appropriate facilities.
Preparation
Ahead of the exercise, a team from the Corporate Communications Unit of GCGL visited the Adabraka Chief's Palace last Monday to discuss the modalities of the event with the traditional authorities.
Present at the meeting were an elder of the Adabraka Stool, Daniel Nii Addy, Bradford Nii Addy; Asafoatse Nii Annan Oti Kakablan, and Seth Tetteh.
A Senior Corporate Communications Officer at GCGL, Yvonne Aryee, said the annual exercise was usually held after the Homowo celebration in the Greater Accra Region and formed part of the company's efforts to give back to the Adabraka community.
She added that the initiative was meant to help strengthen the relationship between GCGL and the community.
Responding on behalf of the Adabraka Stool, Nii Adjabeng II thanked GCGL for the gesture, noting that the health screening exercise had a long history with the community, dating back to the reign of the first chief of Adabraka.
He said the exercise, which had been carried out annually, had benefited the indigenes of Adabraka and cemented the relationship with GCGL.
“We appreciate the efforts the GCGL has made in terms of this health screening programme over the years, and the palace will do its part to mobilise residents for a successful screening," he said.
He also said the exercise had benefited many residents, and prayed for the continued success and expansion of the programme.
