He said this in a written in a statement by the special prosecutor himself.
The statement follows:
“I am also investigating another bridge of the public procurement act, which affects this office directly in which the suspects have failed or refused to report because they feel they have connections in government, however I can assure the public that while I occupy the role of special prosecutor, crime will always be treated as crime and no political party can act as an insurance against investigating and or prosecuting any offences that falls under my mandate under the office of the special prosecutor under act 2017, I am determined to maintain the confidence Ghanaians placed in, in supporting my approval and appointment by the president, as a special prosecutor until otherwise decided by a court of competent jurisdiction,” he said.
He added that his court has turned down a number of petitions due to lack of jurisdiction.
