Yendi 7As College of Science wins Fish Farmer Award

The 7As College of Science and Technology (COSTECH) at Yendi in the Northern Region, has been declared the best Municipal Fish Farmer as part of this year’s National Farmers Day Awards celebration at Sunson in the Yendi municipality last Friday.

The college was the only educational institution among 17 farmers, including six females, who received awards at the 34th Municipal / National Farmers Awards ceremony.
 
For their hardwork, the college received items that included two fishing nets, ropes, wellington boots, roofing sheets, chemicals and cutlasses.

The National Farmers Day Awards celebration is to be hosted in the Northern regional capital, Tamale, next Friday, December, 7, 2018.

As a result, the various metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) have already held their respective awards ceremonies to pave way for the national event.
