Ghanaian student in London donates to orphanage

A Ghanaian medical student has donated a water tank and a quantity of food items worth GH¢5,000 to the Bless Children’s Orphanage at Nkwatia-Kwahu in the Kwahu East District in the Eastern Region.

Making the presentation, the student of the Imperial College in London, Ms Emma Amoafo, said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise she made to the orphanage last year.

She expressed the hope that the items would be put to good use to solve the perennial water problems and other challenges facing the orphanage.

Ms Amoafo expressed the hope that public-spirited persons would be touched to support the needy and vulnerable in the society.

Receiving the items, Rev Jemeriah Yeboah, the caretaker of the orphanage, thanked the medical student for the kind gesture and promised that the items would be put to good use.

The other items presented to the orphanage included bags of rice and sugar, cooking oil, key soap and tomatoes.
