Gomoa Central MP supports health directorate
The Gomoa East District Directorate of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has taken delivery of assorted items worth GH¢40,000 from the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency, Mrs Rachel Florence Appoh-Opoku.
The items included two LED television sets, two double decker refrigerators, two water tanks and two desktop computers. The rest were two delivery beds, two generators and four ceiling fans.
The items, which were funded from the MP’s share of the National Health Insurance Fund, were for onward distribution to health facilities in the district.
Presentation
At a ceremony at Gomoa Oboasi, Mrs Appoh-Opoku said that the presentation was in response to a request by the GHS towards quality health care in the district.
According to her, most of the health facilities in the district lacked the needed medical equipment to enhance their operation and promised to commit more resources to the sector.
She urged the GHS to facilitate the early distribution of the items to the beneficiary facilities to enable the workers to provide proper care to patients.
Director of Health
The District Health Director, Mr Stephen Tietoh thanked and commended the MP for her continuous support to the GHS.
