The volunteers, from the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA), who are currently deployed to various institutions across the country, took turns to introduce themselves to Mr Amissah-Arthur and also express how excited they were to be engaged in humanitarian activities in Ghana.

Ambassador’ remark

They were led by the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Kaoru Yoshimura, who, in a brief remark, described Ghana as one of the favourite destinations of Japanese volunteers, as he touted the friendly nature of Ghanaians,  and their diverse culture.

He stated that Japan would continue to provide development assistance to Ghana and expressed optimism that the relationship between the two countries would blossom further in the ensuing years.
