Kumasi Club gets new chairman
A senior health care practitioner and health research scientist, Mr Richard Owusu Nyarko, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Kumasi Club.
Mr Nyarko was chosen as leader at the club's annual general meeting held recently.
Prior to his new position, Mr Nyarko had served as the Vice-Chairman of the club for two consecutive terms.
Vision
Mr Nyarko expressed his gratitude to the members of the club for reposing confidence in him by giving him the opportunity to lead the club.
As part of his plans for the club, Mr Nyarko pledged to improve the finances of the club.
He also assured members that the club would continue its mandate of establishing projects that would develop and benefit society.
He called on members of the club to give him their fullest support in order for him to have a successful tenure.
History of club
The Kumasi Club was formerly known as the European Club.
The Asantehene is the life patron of the Club which was established in 1927.
The club boasts of highly trained professionals residing in the Ashanti Region.
