Lands Commission cautions the public about scammers
The Lands Commission has cautioned members of the public to only transact business with the Commission through the Client Service Access Unit (CSAU) of the Commission or through its online portal to avoid falling prey to scammers.
The Commission said its attention had been drawn to a social media circulation about the existence of a syndicate that conducts what was termed “shadow search."
In a press statement issued on Tuesday (June 8), the Lands Commission distanced itself from any such syndicate, stressing that there was nothing known as “shadow search” within the Commission.

"The Lands Commission as a state mandated body in the management of government lands, conducts official searches for applicants to facilitate their land transactions. These searches and other services provided by the Commission can be accessed by the general public through the CSAU of the Commission or through our online portal www.onlineservices.lc.gov.gh," the statement said.
"We therefore admonish the general public to interact with the Lands Commission exclusively through the CSAU or our Online Portal," the Commission stressed.
It added that the CSAU and the online portal were the only channels through which all transactions at the Lands Commission were submitted and received, and no other medium.
"Clients or applicants who fail to transact business with the Lands Commission through the prescribed channels do so at their own risk," the statement added.
