Latex Foam donates mattresses to June 3 victims

The management of Latex Foam has presented 300 mattresses valued at GH¢25,500 to some residents of Adabraka in Accra who were victims of the recent floods that hit Accra and the Tema metropolis.

The company made the donation through the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) to the traditional authorities at Adabraka for onward donation to the affected residents who have been registered.

Floods

The floods which rendered thousands of residents homeless and caused extensive damage to lives and property left in its wake debris in the community, which continues to remind the residents of the havoc it wreaked on them.

Mrs Gifty Appiah, Public Relations Officer, who made the presentation on behalf of the company, said the donation was the company’s way of commiserating with victims of the flood which occurred on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

Mrs Appiah conveyed the sympathies of the board, management and staff of the company to all who either lost their relatives, suffered various degrees of injury, lost property or suffered in any form from the floods.

Naa Korkor Aadjieoyi I, the Adabraka Otuopai Manye,who received the items on behalf of the traditional council and the victims, supervised the distribution.

She thanked Latex Foam and assured the company that only households which were affected by the floods would benefit from the package.

The queenmother said the traditional council would go strictly by the list of registered victims in its custody.

Mr Albert Sam, the Corporate Communications Manager of the GCGL, explained that the donation was a collaboration between the GCGL and Latex Foam.
