President John Dramani Mahama has, in consultation with the Council of State, appointed 12 individuals as members of the governing board of the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
Their appointment is in accordance with Article 70(1)(d)(iii) of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612), as amended by the Bank of Ghana (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Act 918).
The list includes Dr Johnson Pandit Kwesi Asiama as Governor, Dr Zakari Mumuni as First Deputy Governor, Thomas Nyarko Ampem as Representative from the Ministry of Finance, and Mr Augustine Fritz Gockel as an Economist.
Other appointees include lawyers Beatrice Feehi Annangfio, Kizzita Mensah, and Emma Akua Bulley.
