Man defiles girl, 7, while on her way to attend to nature's call

The Police in Agona Nyakrom in the Agona West Municipality of the Central Region have launched a manhunt for a man suspected to have defiled a seven-year-old girl.

The girl, a Kindergarten pupil, was on her way to attend to nature's call at a nearby public toilet in the town when the suspect lured her into his room and had sex with her.

According to the Agona Nyakrom District Police Commander, Superintendent Frederick Lumor, the victim upon reaching home failed to narrate her ordeal to her mother but her mother, noticing a change in attitude of her daughter, examined her private part while she was bathing the victim and realised an enlargement in the little girl’s genital.

Upon continuous questioning and threats, the little girl mentioned one Baba who called her into his room while she was on her way to ease herself and forcibly had sex with her.

According to Superintendent Lumor, the victim’s mother, Florence Sabah, lodged an official complaint to the police last Friday, May 8, 2020.

He said a medical form was issued for the victim to be sent to the Swedru Government Hospital for medical examination.

He mentioned that the police were awaiting the medical report of the victim to assist the police in their investigations.
