Manet builds US$200,000 police station for Spintex residents
Manet Company Limited has constructed a new police station, valued at US$200,000, for residents in and around the Spintex Road in Accra.

The facility is expected to host the various divisions in the police administration as well as some police personnel, who will help protect lives and properties around the area.
Until the commissioning of the facility on October 2, there was no such facility around the area and that compelled people with police-related issues to seek redress from Airport Police Station and the Sakumono stations.
The new station was commissioned by the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan, and the President of the Manet Group, Dr. Theresa Oppong Beeko, paving the way for the police administration to start using it.
It will host the Baatsona Divisional Headquarters and the Okpoi Gonno District Headquarters. It also has space for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Dr Beeko said at the commissioning that Manet Group built the police station after realising that there was virtually no police station from the Airport Police Station to the Sakumono area.
She was, therefore, confident that the station would help strengthen security challenges facing the community and its environs in the district.
The area currently hosts some residential communities, including the Manet Court, Regimanuel Golden Gate, Devtraco, Kasaglobal and Mariville estates.

The district also serves major industrial and commercial plants such Coca cola, Accra Mall, and the Spintex Mall, to name a few.
The presence of the police station will, therefore, help inspire confidence in residents and the business community.
The President of the group said her outfit was excited about the successful completion of the project.
She said the presence of a police in a community provided a psychological peace of mind that calms the fears of residents.
