Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns against forged documents in visa applications

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has raised concerns over the increasing number of Ghanaians submitting forged or false documents for authentication in visa applications.
In a statement issued on Monday, October 14, 2024 the Ministry warned that such actions are punishable under sections 158,159,166, and 169 of the Criminal and Offenses Acts, 1961 (Act 29).

It added that applicants found guilty of presenting false documents will be handed over to the police for prosecution.
The Ministry has urged the public to comply with this directive to avoid legal action.
