MOGA 87/88 assists alma mater
The 1987 and 1988 year groups of the Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School at Saltpond in the Central Region, have refurbished the Home Economics Department of the school.

The refurbishment, estimated at the cost of GH¢ 35,997.00 is to enhance the teaching and learning of home economics in the school.
The two year groups also presented four gas burners to the department
Mrs Adelaide Opoku-Mintah and Miss Marian Nortwiri, the presidents of the two year groups, said they saw the need to renovate the department to enhance effective learning.
Mrs Opoku-Mintah stressed that the school had made various complaints about the deteriorating state of the department, which made them see the need to come to their aid.
The Head of the Home Economics Department, Mrs Dinah Osei, acknowledged the kind gesture made to the department by the old girls.
She said that the items provided would help improve teaching and learning.
Mrs Osei promised the old girls that the department would ensure proper maintenance of the facility and burners, and urged all other year groups to emulate the bold step taken by the two year groups to aid the smooth running of the institution.
