New hospital inaugurated at Nkawkaw

A modern hospital to enhance healthcare delivery to the people of Nkawkaw and surrounding areas in the Eastern Region has been inaugurated.

The 100-bed facility, known as the Kenop Care Hospital, would be upgraded to a 250-bed facility in the future. It is being managed by consultant physicians, gynaecologists, surgeons and experienced nurses.

In an inauguration speech,  the Chief Executive of the hospital, Mr Kennedy Opoku, said it was important for the private sector to contribute immensely to healthcare delivery.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Antwi Boasiako Sekyere commended Mr Opoku for embarking on the project and promised that the government would continue to support such initiatives.

He appealed to the people to see the hospital as their own and support it to become a centre of excellence.
