The captors are said to have forcibly entered Nana Agyeman's palace by breaking the main gate and held him hostage.
The abductors were also said to have damaged some items at the palace and disrupted electric power supply to the community by destroying the transformer.
This is said to have resulted in a total blackout in the area and thereby enabled them to transport him to the palace of the Upper Dixcove chief.
A police rescue team led by the Western Regional Police Commander, Mr R. Dedjoe managed to take custody of the abducted Paramount Chief later on, reports Graphic Online's Dotsey Koblah Aklorbortu from Takoradi.
