Patrons having fun at the Joy FM's Skuuls Reunion

Patrons defy rain at Joy Fm Schools Reunion

Hundreds of old students of tertiary and secondary schools gathered for socialisation at the Joy Fm Schools Reunion event organised at the independence square last Saturday.

The event brought back fond memories of days at the university, polytechnic and secondary schools, to the gathering.

Rainfall

The teeming crowd defied a morning rainfall to revel and partake in programmes such as jama contest, dancing and singing.

The rain set in between 10 and 11 a.m, when the ‘jama’ contest had started and some people run for cover while others stayed on in the open, singing, dancing and throwing their fists in the air.

At a point in time, those who had run for cover rejoined the defiant ones and the show gathered more steam.

The stage that had been created for the show became an empty platform. Some of the pareticipants took off their outfits and sang and danced in their boxer shots.

Old rivalry rekindled

The rivalry between some schools was rekindled as some teasing songs of old, were  sung, though this time in a fun-filled atmosphere, while a good number of patrons wore attires that depicted the old days.

Hiplife artistes such as Sarkodie, Kwaw Kesse and Edem who performed at the event  lived up to expectation.

Patrons who spoke to the Daily Graphic said they were happy to have taken part in the event and expressed the wish that time would move faster for next year’s edition to come on.
